Supported formats and limitations

Your video never leaves your device. Processing runs in your browser with FFmpeg.wasm; there is no upload, no account and no server copy.
The video engine (about 32 MB) is downloaded only after you choose a file and press Process — never automatically when the page loads.
There is no artificial usage limit and no account. Real speed and maximum size depend on your device and browser: large or long videos are slower and may run out of browser memory. A warning is shown for very large files, but no file is hard-blocked for size alone.
Audio is encoded to MP3 at quality level 4 (roughly 128 to 165 kbps variable bit rate). It is not a lossless copy of the original track.
A video with no audio track will fail with a clear error.
No artificial usage limit: capacity depends on your device and browser. Large or long videos are slower and may run out of browser memory.

Frequently asked questions

Is the MP3 the same quality as the original?

Close, but MP3 is a lossy format. For archiving, keep the original video as well.

Can I extract only part of the audio?

Trim the video first, then extract audio from the trimmed clip.
