๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ Extract Video Frames

Extract still frames from a video at a regular interval, for storyboards, thumbnails, analysis or documentation. Frames are downloaded together as a ZIP file.

Runs entirely in your browser with FFmpeg.wasm. No upload, no account, no video stored anywhere, and no watermark added by this site.

๐Ÿ“ Drop a video here, or choose a file

MP4, MOV, WebM and other common video files. One file at a time. Files are processed in your browser only โ€” nothing is uploaded.

Choose video

Before you press Process: the video engine is about 32 MB and downloads only when you press Process โ€” never on page load. Your video never leaves this device. No account, no artificial limit; speed depends on your device and browser.

How to use it

  1. Choose a video file.
  2. Choose how often to grab a frame, in seconds.
  3. Press Extract Frames.
  4. Download the ZIP of JPG frames.

Supported formats and limitations

  • Your video never leaves your device. Processing runs in your browser with FFmpeg.wasm; there is no upload, no account and no server copy.
  • The video engine (about 32 MB) is downloaded only after you choose a file and press Process โ€” never automatically when the page loads.
  • There is no artificial usage limit and no account. Real speed and maximum size depend on your device and browser: large or long videos are slower and may run out of browser memory. A warning is shown for very large files, but no file is hard-blocked for size alone.
  • Frames are JPG stills. They carry no audio and no motion.
  • A short interval on a long video produces many frames and a large ZIP. Use a longer interval for long videos.
  • Frame times are approximate to the chosen interval, not to a scene change.
  • No artificial usage limit: capacity depends on your device and browser. Large or long videos are slower and may run out of browser memory.

Frequently asked questions

How many frames will I get?

Roughly the video length in seconds divided by your interval. A 60 second video at 5 seconds gives about 12 frames.

Can I get one exact frame?

Use the thumbnail maker for a single frame at an exact time.
